Parents/Guardians interested in sending their students to St. Joseph Mission School, should call the school at (505)-552-6362 to set up an appointment and meet with the principal to discuss the individual needs and grade placement of the prospective student.
St. Joseph Mission School has a deep commitment to make sure all of our families have the financial support they need.
St. Joseph Mission School is pleased to waive tuition requirements for the 2023-2024 school year. This is due to the consistent support we receive from benefactors to cover the cost of education, and the various support avenues we provide for our students to be covered by financial assistance. There will be a $200 registration fee for students K to 8th grade, with no waivers. Registration fee must be paid before students can begin class. A St. Joseph School Financial Aid Application must be completed and on file to receive any additional Tuition Assistance, (i.e. St. Joseph Scholarships/Tuition Assistance Grants, etc.).
Tuition Assistance will be determined on a case by case basis.
Financial responsibility is covered by applying for our scholarship opportunities:
- ACE Scholarship: deadline April 18th
- Franciscan Fund: deadline July 15th
- St. Joseph Mission School Scholarship Fund: deadline Oct. 1st
- Southwest Indian Foundation: deadline Oct. 6th
Without filling out scholarship applications, the cost of education cannot be covered. Without fulfilling these requirements, parents/guardians will be subject to pay the tuition cost for students, to cover the cost of education.
Many Scholarships are through a third party company that conducts financial analysis to determine your family’s financial need based on information provided on the application, including an annual federal tax return and W-2’s.
Tuition and Fees
The actual cost per pupil for educating a child at St. Joseph Mission School is approximately $8100.00 per year. Diocese of Gallup tuition guidelines recommend a charged tuition of 75% of the per pupil cost. In an effort to make tuition affordable, St. Joseph Mission School assists with the tuition of ALL students. There will be a $200 registration fee for students K to 8th grade, with no waivers.

The board provides recommendations to the pastor and principal/administrator regarding tuition policies. The board reviews tuition and fees annually. The actual cost per pupil for educating a child at St. Joseph Mission School is approximately $9,000.00 per year.
In an effort to make tuition affordable, St. Joseph Mission School subsidizes the tuition of ALL students.
